Roy & Dot’s Truck Specialties, Inc. was first started in 1959 by Roy and Dorothy “Dot” McClure. After Roy McClure served his country in WWII, he went home to his family and worked a couple of different jobs to make ends meet. To make extra income, he started to work on customers vehicles at home on the weekends. It was then that wife Dorothy decided to help her husband by prepping and masking the vehicles. The demand for their business started to increase and they could no longer do the work only on the weekends.

After a few years, they opened a shop on Maple Avenue in Montebello, California. After their youngest son, Jess McClure, came back from the Navy, he joined Roy & Dot’s Truck Specialties, Inc. and was taught how to paint, prep and weld medium and heavy duty trucks. In 1988, Jess McClure became president of the company.

Over the past 45 years, Roy & Dot’s Truck Specialties, Inc has done work for such companies as Schneider National, Swift Leasing Co., Coca-Cola Co., Cal-Trans, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Vons, Albertsons.com, United Parcel Service, Carl’s Jr. Foods, Sysco Foods Services of Los Angeles, Estenson Logistics Co., Aquarium of the Pacific, Cardinal Logistics Co., Golden State Foods, and Hawthorne Lift

We support the Fontana Police Department, AB Miller High School, Beverly Hospital Foundation. We also support Truckin’ for Kids Charities and Habitat for Humanities.
